Our adventure begins in Puerto Villamil, where we come to the meeting point assigned to a day before the activity.

Then, we will transfer to the pier of the island, where we take a boat. From there, we will head to Sleeping Lion.

We will arrive at Leon Dormido, where the guide will give a short briefing about the area in which we will perform the activity. Our first activity will be the channel that is formed between the two rocks

Sleeping lion, or Kicker Rock, is a volcanic formation composed of two rocks that rise from the ocean. Its waters are rich in biodiversity make it a popular destination for scuba diving and snorkeling, great to see hammerhead sharks, especially from July to October.

Here you will be able to observe several species of sea turtles, mainly the green turtle and, occasionally, the hawksbill turtle. The green sea turtle can reach up to 1.5 m in length and weigh up to 200 kg

Under the water, the rocks form a narrow channel that offers an underwater scenery spectacular, where you will be able to explore the cliffs submerged and find abundant marine life, among which stand out the beautiful rays and eels.

We will return to the boat to go to the back side of the rock, where we can admire her stunning beauty. In its cliffs, observe several species that are at rest, such as sea lions, gulls and blue-footed boobies.

We will do our second dive in Sleeping Lion, which offers an extensive biodiversity. You can observe sharks, black-tip, Galapagos sharks and octopus to the edge of the cliffs. Definitely, Sleeping Lion is an experience, whether diving or snorkeling.

We will return to the boat to head to a nearby beach and unwind after a long session of snorkeling. This visit may vary depending on the itinerary authorized by the Galapagos National Park, and may include Playa Cerro Brujo, Manglecito or Big Port. Contact one of our agents to get to know the beach that you will visit on the day of your excursion.

After a fun ride on one of the beautiful beaches of the island, the crew will wait for us with a delicious lunch while we contemplate the panoramic view of the bay.

Swimming in crystal clear water beaches is a unique experience, where you will find banks, star of the sea and marine iguanas, and from time to time, sea lions showing off their acrobatics in the water. At 2:30 approximately, we return to the boat to head to Puerto Villamil.
